Admitted to practice in patent cases at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.   After being admitted as a patent attorney in April 1999, I chose to practice in other areas of law.


Federal District Court
Admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court in Massachusetts — federal trial court (May 1999).


U.S. Court of Appeals
Admitted to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit — federal appellate court for Massachusetts and three other states (Jan 2001).


U.S. Supreme Court
Admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court (August 2002).

Member of Sigma Xi (Σ Ξ) — The Scientific Research Society, not a fraternity — continuously from May 1980 until June 2014.
